I went on a fixed menu day, but I wasn't expecting it because I wasn't told when I booked. Since I wanted a steak, I had to order it off the menu, which increased the final price. Speaking of food... The bombette and straccetti were good (but I wouldn't have ordered them if they weren't included in the fixed menu). The zampina was good, but nothing special. The steak was excellent, cooked very well. I was disappointed by the meager platter (spicy and sweet sausage, spicy provolone, and olives), which wasn't of the highest quality. I really enjoyed the sweet house wine. The service was very good; even though the place was almost full, we had no problems with timing or adding the steak. I would go back to try only what I wanted, without being forced by the menu.

Good meat, but prices weren't transparent. The €150 bill seemed disproportionate for the amount ordered. No details were given on the receipt. Other grill restaurants tell you the weight and price of the meat at the counter, which you'll add to the price you'll receive at the table. The outdoor dining area is cold.

Higher than average. Friendly waitress. Butcher a bit gruff. No appetizer options: salami and provolone. Minimalist place: a garage with tables and chairs. There were four of us and we ordered a large appetizer shared by four, a portion of veal diaphragm, a medium-aged T-bone steak, and two fillets. One Moretti beer (66cl, €5), house wine, two limoncini, and one plate (not ordered) of carrots and fennel. Total €145

03/05/2026: During a family trip to Altamura, we had lunch at this restaurant. Reservations are handled by phone and WhatsApp, despite some communication difficulties regarding opening hours. The restaurant is located in the heart of Altamura's historic center, on a beautifully decorated street. The atmosphere is typically Apulian, very rustic and traditional. The cuisine offers local specialties, but we found it unfair not to mention during the reservation that there is no à la carte menu on Sundays. We actually ordered dishes verbally, especially without knowing the prices. In any case, we found everything very good and fresh. The first course was really good, as was the meat, cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and quick. Despite having plenty of seating, the location felt cramped, and conversation was difficult. We can't comment on the bill, as we weren't able to consult the menu, and it was offered to us. It's definitely a good option in Altamura, but there's plenty of room for improvement. It's essential to disclose prices, even for set menus.
03/05/2026: A place that serves delicious, aesthetically pleasing regional cuisine. Definitely worth a visit.
