wonderful place with a lovely owner. went here twice for my coffee fix when i stayed in a nearby airbnb. got to see and greet the locals who come in every morning. aside from the cappuccino, we tried the chocolate croissant and chocolate clusters, both handmade by barbara, the owner. we sat in a corner and saw that barbara once made a castle out of chocolate and achieved many distinctions over her career. discovering this local shop added such charm to our florence trip and i will remember it dearly.

Poke Lab

14/07/2026: Great poke bowls at Pokelab Florenz! Fresh ingredients, lots of customization options, and good portion sizes. Service was fast and friendly. Healthy, delicious, and perfect for lunch or dinner. Through out my stay in Florence I ate so many times poke bowls. From a hotel in front of Florence’s Santa Maria Novella station, the church bells ring out clear and deep in the morning. With the mountains around the city, the sound echoes across the sky and feels calm, open, and peaceful. Under it you just hear the city slowly waking up.

12/07/2026: The kebab was passable, the atmosphere very authentic, and the chef friendly.
07/07/2026: Excellent food at reasonable price. While in Florence we stumbled on this eatery by chance and ended up eating three days in a row. Everyday, food, their quality of service and customer dealing was top notch. Kudos to the management.
