On a weekend at the end of the summer in Milan, I had a fantastic experience, now I'll tell you why. Barzac Milano was founded by a wonderful couple from Piacenza, Pier and Germana; they created a small place (about 20 seats) but, as they say, with a big heart! As you can see from the photos attached to my review, the place is furnished in a truly original way, with many beautiful details (mainly red) and the beautiful wall full of excellent bottles of wine. The menu is full of traditional dishes, simply excellent and well presented (I recommend you visit their website or Instagram page, so you will be able to see the beautiful dishes they create). The aspect that, above all else, would make me immediately return is the friendliness, friendliness and kindness of Pier and Germana; speaking with them you can perceive all the love they feel for this work and for their land, Emilia-Romagna. I absolutely recommend it, a place not to be missed.

Small family run place. The owners are really kind and helpful with great passion and desire to tell you everything about their products. The Piacenza cuisine is truly excellent and fully respects tradition: the pasta for the first courses is homemade and the pisarei are a spectacle. The homemade pasta is also available in a gluten-free version. Truly a beautiful discovery in the jungle of Milanese restaurants.

My wife and I are from Australia, we flew in from Paris late on Sunday night. Very hungry we found this incredible restaurant. They helped in making suggests on food, wine and dessert. We were in Milano for 3 days nights and ate there twice (as they we shut on Mondays). As a family owned restaurant, we enjoyed the food, atmosphere and conversation with this owners. The service was fast, the menus come in different languages with photos online and the food is absolutely delicious. They had great options for gluten free and the cheese cake dessert is a must!

Very nice people with very nice food even for my lactose and gluten intolerant friend. 🤩 Good choice of food as we'll. For the beer lovers who dont like hop i would recommend to stay away from the american pale ale as it is heavy on the hop. I'd recommend you to stay with the german ale as its an normal good beer😊

21/07/2024: When we say THE CASE: it so happened that, having received several Smartboxes among the wedding gifts, we used one to treat ourselves to an evening of tasting. We book and already notice kindness and professionalism. Once we arrive on site we find a very intimate and reserved place where Davide welcomes us and explains our offer which included a vegetarian tasting menu but, if we want, we can vary it with the various proposals on the weekly menu (which is absolutely not a given in other places) very vast, both fish and meat. We order 2 first courses and 2 second courses of fish: tagliatelle with squid and rocket, paccheri with bream sauce, second course swordfish tartare with toasted almonds, spinach and lemon zest salad, sea bass on a bed of courgettes. ALL DIVINE, prepared with care of the detail of a starred restaurant! Especially the tagliatelle, a real JOURNEY! P.s. given the size of the venue, booking is highly recommended. Do it! You won't regret it. Thank you Davide and all the staff for your kindness first and foremost and for the love you put into your work. We will definitely be back and not alone.

27/07/2024: What can I say, a quiet evening, no one pushes you because other customers have to enter. The dishes arrive on their own, report your intolerances and you will always be satisfied. Now all you have to do is try to book to enjoy these exceptional dishes.
15/07/2024: Despite the name which recalls the history of the place, today it is an inn by reservation where the customer is at the centre. There is no real menu but a selection of dishes are served which are inviting to the eye and excellent to the palate. Fish reigns supreme (but meat-based requests are accepted). Top quality materials, such as rare earths, are at home here. (fresh tuna, apple and competition tuna salad). But we don't have to go to China, just stay in the old Bovisa with a careful eye to discover this exclusive place with few seats. The genius loci is the owner assisted by his wife, a polite and passionate gentleman, who pleasantly accompanies you with a Sardinian accent to discover his delicious dishes (and wines). Quality/price ratio at the height of quantity and quality.
