Highly recommend this gem of restaurant. I was looking for a restaurant in the area and stumbled upon Borgomela on Google maps. We were so impressed from the moment we arrived. The staff greeted us and were very accommodating with our request to change table. Lorita the owner came and introduced herself and told us that all the products are organic and locally sourced. Everything we ordered was amazing! The pasta is homemade and not to miss! Definitely recommend it if you are in the area!

Abbiamo cenato per la prima volta al Borgomela ed abbiamo scoperto un ristorante dove la qualità delle portate è il centro di tutto . Siamo stati accolti da Loretta che ci ha spiegato la filosofia del Ristorante e ci ha aiutato a scegliere tra le varie portate del menu . La parmigiana , assolutamente perfetta , un connubio tra morbidezza e croccantezza , ottimi e perfettamente preparati anche i due primi , i taglierini ai funghi e gli gnocchi alla burrata e tartufo . Un’ ottima esperienza da riprovare quando tornerò in Umbria .

As soon as we entered, the owner of the place welcomed us very warmly with a pleasant conversation and gave us the feeling that we had come to stay at her home. The dishes were exceptional in taste. A taste of heaven. Traditional local dishes that get a lovely creative twist. A real pleasure. We were so glad we chose to eat here.

Esperienza ottima. Accoglienza molto calorosa con la padrona che spiegava la filosofia del ristorante e i piatti con precisione e passione. Ottimi i primi e fenomenale la coratella, molto buona e delicata. Consigliato per passare una buona giornata mangiando bene e in tranquillità

Magical and evocative place. Staff friendly, welcoming and very attentive to every detail. We had a great time right from the first moment, feeling at home. Price in line with the place and the quality of the products (very high!). Absolutely recommended!

Excellent experience, in my opinion it also deserves 5 stars for the welcome we had.....everything in line with the expectations I had of spending a pleasant evening. Well done everyone......

The food is always decent even if potions have noticeably shrunk in quantity and widened in price! A very annoying thing for a restaurant like this is to bring counted bread (mini sandwiches of the frozen ones). Serving fresh bread in the right quantity to diners seems like a basic thing for a restaurant that charges at least 40 euros per person! Another rather annoying thing is too much chatter to explain a menu that has been the same for years, which is certainly not how you win over customers. I avoid commenting on the list and quantity of wines because I would risk lowering the overall rating even further. The service always appears to be a little remedied even though the place is no longer overflowing like it used to be! From my review you can understand a note of disappointment because I had much more positive memories of this restaurant!
