Borgo In Bergamo

Excellent restaurant, centrally located in Bergamo, well-maintained and welcoming. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is truly excellent! We had a platter of cold cuts and cheeses for an appetizer, accompanied by polenta and bread, and the legendary elephant ear for our main course. Everything was delicious! The only "flaw," if I may say so, was the long wait between the appetizer and the cutlet. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

We saw the positive reviews here on Google Maps and decided to book a table (for 3) in advance. The experience was really good! Carlo (the owner) was super nice and attentive with us, even without us speaking proper Italian. The ossobuco was specially great. If you need a place to eat here in Bergamo, you should definetely come here

Last week we came to Bergamo from Tuscany for a quick weekend getaway. On the first day of our stay, we unfortunately found ourselves at Carlo's restaurant, conveniently located just steps from the city center. I'll explain the "unfortunate" part now: his restaurant was our first culinary experience in Bergamo, and it raised the bar to a level that the other restaurants we subsequently dined at couldn't even begin to match, leaving us somewhat disappointed. I have two pieces of advice for you: if you ever find yourself in Bergamo, look for Carlo's restaurant. And if you do eat there, trust Carlo for his recommendations, because he knows the quality he brings to the table and will definitely know what dishes to offer you!

If you go to Carlo's for a meal, you'll discover a different experience than the usual places in the center; here you feel right at home!

That was a great dinner! So many tastes in pasta! This is local Italian place, so I can highly recommend that place!

A lovely family-owned Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the local dishes are delicious. We chose the homemade pasta, and it was incredible. The combination of flavors and aromas brings pure delight. When we’re in Bergamo again, we’ll definitely come back!
