A restaurant in the square in Vigoleno with indoor and outdoor seating on the shaded terrace that offers a platter of local cured meats with torta fritta (aka fried gnocco). The torta fritta and the prosciutto deserve praise because they are truly special, truly the pride of the place.
The desserts are less quality and overall the price is perhaps a little high, even if you are happy to pay for such good food.

A big thank you to the lady at the bar who, despite the place being packed with customers, promptly assisted my wife, providing ice to ease the pain of a bruise she had suffered elsewhere

A restaurant with modern architecture, a little out of place compared to the medieval village of Vigoleno it overlooks, but being on the opposite side of the provincial road, it's not a scandal.
The restaurant is a large veranda, with large windows overlooking the castle, and therefore offers a pleasant view to customers. The menu is not very extensive and offers dishes from the culinary traditions of Parma and Piacenza. We chose the green and pink tortelli, both excellent and well presented.
As a second course we chose the cold cuts platter with torta fritta (fried dumpling) and giardiniera, both excellent. All washed down with Gutturnio and, at the end of the meal, with a small glass of Bargnolino, the typical local liqueur prepared with the berries of the blackthorn.
Prices are normal. Friendly staff and quick service complete a beautiful gastronomic experience.

Very nice and welcoming place, with a panoramic veranda overlooking the castle.
Spectacular platter of local cured meats accompanied by unlimited cake and fried polenta.
The traditional first courses were excellent and we then enjoyed a very soft stuffed guinea fowl.
The wine list is good and offered at a more than honest price.
Friendly and accurate service.
The final bill was a pleasant surprise as it was very modest in relation to the quantity and quality of the dishes.
Highly recommended restaurant!

Di fronte al bel castello del paese, il locale è pulito con il personale squisitamente gentile e cordiale pronto ad accontentare ogni richiesta. Non avendo prenotato (il giorno di Pasqua!) siamo comunque stati ben accolti e abbiamo potuto gustare uno squisito tagliere di salumi locali con torta fritta, gorgonzola e giardiniera. Ottimo anche il dolce ! Prezzo nella norma considerando l'ottima qualità del pranzo.

Posizione stupenda davanti alle mura merlate di Vigoleno. Piatti belli da vedere e gustare. Provato tagliere di San Giovanni, tagliere di formaggi e torta fritta. Tagliatelle fatte con farina di castagne e porro. Faraona ripiena eccezionale e dolci buonissimi. Per chiudere vin santo! Personale discreto e gentile.
