Blackout restaurant & cocktail bar In Mirano

Amazing! I wasn’t sure at first about how I would feel being in the dark, but I found it ended up being such a fun dining experience. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience!

What a great experience! We were so glad we chose the dinner in the dark as our afternoon activity for my husband's birthday. While casual restaurants are no longer exciting, the restaurant in the dark was a real hit. Firstly, it was a truly amazing experience, secondly, the food was really good. And most importantly, it was vegetarian (we don't eat meat). Thirdly, the service was just great! A big thank you to our lovely waitress! I highly recommend it to everyone!

Me and a couple guy friends went, loved the food myself. One if my friends is a picky eater and didn't care for the food but still loved the experience and enjoyed it.

Surprised my girlfriend because she's always wanted to go here. This spot did not disappoint. Brie was an excellent host/waitress. She was funny, engaging and very friendly as well. 7 courses full of flavor. First bite to the last. Would recommend A++

BLACKOUT Dining in the Dark is definitely a unique experience, but the food was not it, especially for the price. The concept itself is intriguing…you are in complete darkness, and when they say BLACKOUT, they mean it! You can’t see a thing! Before entering the dining area, you have to lock up all light-emitting devices—cell phones, smartwatches, anything that glows. So once you’re in, you’re fully immersed in pitch blackness. For safety reasons, they don’t provide knives, and the food is served just above room temperature so you don’t burn yourself. One of the biggest things to note is that you don’t get to see the menu or even know what you’re eating until after the experience, so you’re completely trusting them with every bite. Well, I just found out everything was vegan… and that probably explains why it tasted the way it did. Ewww! The dishes didn’t follow a theme, one might have Mediterranean flavors, and the next might be Hispanic-inspired. The portions were small, the flavors were bland, and overall, the food just wasn’t worth it. Also, reservations are required and cost $20 per person upfront, which is non-refundable unless canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Once you book, you’re locked in. We spent well over $200, and while the experience itself was interesting, the food simply didn’t justify the price. It’s worth trying once for the novelty, but now that I know what I was actually eating? Yeah, we won’t be back.

I went with my wife and our two teenage boys. I honestly could not say enough good about this place. The staff were great and made the experience so much fun. The food was off the hook amazing if you are a little adventurous and willing to just have fun. Being in the dark and having to try and figure out what you are eating makes for fun conversation. Really I am a bit of a foodie to the extent that my wallet will allow. This was literally the best meal of my life. For the rest of my group… My wife eats as few vegetables as possible and she wanted to stop at Taco Bell on the way home. My 19 year old son is more like me and he really enjoyed most everything. My 14 year old was the real surprise. Not only did he really like the food he wants to go back.

It's about the experience of eating in complete darkness. And that part was cool to do once. Our serving staff was awesome..right amount of being present and had great personality. The food was okay. Interesting for trying to guess what it was, but not anything I'd order again in regular restaurant. So overall..check a box that we did it..and made us appreciate eyesight.

Sono cliente abituale di questo locale e vengo spesso con il mio compagno, amici e anche per feste tranquille in famiglia. A parte la comodità di averlo vicino casa, è situato praticamente nel centro di Mirano e offre una location intima, curata, pulita e ben fornita: lo spazio interno è molto accogliente e con musica di sottofondo (unica cosa forse la abbasserei un po’ perché a volte sovrasta troppo), e lo spazio esterno è molto carino sia in inverno che in estate. Infatti all’esterno in inverno anche sulle poltroncine super comode troverete delle copertine calde, e poi ci sono anche i tavoli un poco più alti dove c’è una tettoia che ripara da eventuale pioggia ed è tutto addobbato da lucine. Per non parlare della qualità sia del cibo che dei cocktail. Qui troverete cocktail di ogni tipo, con abbinamenti particolari e ricercati. È vero che il costo è un poco sopra la media ma ne vale davvero la pena. Invece per quanto riguarda il cibo ricordatevi che il lunedì sera è l’unico giorno dove la cucina è chiusa e vi daranno al massimo dei cicchetti (molto buoni). Mentre della cucina ho provato i tacos con tartare di tonno che consiglio assieme alla focaccia mortadella buttata e pesto. Insomma una certezza!
