06/06/2024: Truly excellent dining experience. La Locanda Di Nunno, in my opinion, should be fully included in the representation of the best catering offered in the Canosi area. In my evaluation I start from the fundamental bases of the cuisine: the raw materials used to make the dishes, all excellent and well combined to enhance typical elements of our territory, from burnt wheat to bran pepper. I had lunch at the Locanda and tried/had the opportunity to taste various dishes: with an entrée of pieces of bread seasoned with oil and salt and focaccia made from burnt wheat flour, n. 4 starters (shared by 3 people), seared octopus tentacles with panzanella and orange segments, cooked and shelled prawns on pea cream, slices of lombrina topped with crunchy capocollo and sprinkled with crusco pepper and finally slow-cooked suckling pig with truffle cream and dehydrated plums; n.2 first courses (modest portions upon our request), fisherman's troccoli and burnt wheat strascinati with green beans and sausage (homemade pasta); to follow I let myself be tempted by a portion of freshly seared tuna placed on cream, also of tuna, and pieces of radish; at the end we opted for 3 desserts, 2 cups of ice cream, one piscacchio flavored and the other rum flavoured, and a cassatina (superlative, homemade). With all these dishes it was possible to understand the quality of the restaurant offering at Locanda DiNunno and my opinion, as already mentioned, is truly excellent. Good choice of wines on offer, I opted for a susumaniello rosé, not bad. Impeccable service, with attention to the customer and meticulous description of the dishes offered (my description of the dishes is very brief because I don't remember everything exactly); friendliness and courtesy of the owner/chef of the restaurant who checked several times on the progress of the lunch; attention to detail. Very high quality/price ratio (spent around €53 per person). In short, if you are in the area or come to visit our splendid town, a culinary experience at the Locanda DiNunno must be had!!!
