Bistrot Elena Walch Le Verre Capricieux In Termeno sulla strada del vino

We visited the Ostaria at Castel Ringberg. Beautiful setting among the vineyards overlooking Lake Caldaro. The tasting at the wine shop left much to be desired - the young man serving didn’t seem to be particularly engaged or enthusiastic, given how amazing the wines are was a shame. Still the wines are all quite unique and elegant and definitely worth exploring.

Luisa, the wine tour guide, was without question the most knowledgeable, engaging and full of personality hostess you would ever wish for! Loved every minute being with her.

I'm writing this review based on my own visit and comparing it to other visits. I love Cantina Elena Walch and its wines, but I can only give it four stars. The staff in the bistro were attentive but overwhelmed, and it wasn't particularly busy. Some guests got up after 15 minutes because they weren't served, which is a shame. It would actually be a lovely spot. It also took quite a while for the aperitif snack to arrive. I'm only reviewing the bistro, not the winery or its wines, which are excellent. It's a shame there was no room for a tour, even though we requested it very early.

We were welcomed at Reingberg Castle, a truly enchanting location. We had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the vineyards with Luisa, who shared with us the history of the Walch family and the characteristics of the vineyards with her infinite knowledge of the world of wine. The wines are truly excellent, but paired with Luisa's expertise, they are even more so. We will definitely be back.

A panoramic tour of the vineyard and a tasting in the castle's fantastic hall. We immersed ourselves in a wonderful experience with Luisa, who explained the history, production, quality, and passion that goes into these wines. Spectacular location on Lake Caldaro, a must-try.

Unfortunately, it was not an experience. Food, service and price level are not in line. Completely banal things like missing oil, salt and pepper on the table could easily be improved. We also couldn't ask about it due to lack of follow-up by the staff. Keep up the good work!

Great wines, friendly service both in the bistro and the wine shop, and sensational wine. Unfortunately, the advertised smoking ban outside is not enforced.

Architetto con la passione del vino (e che passione), Elena Walch ha forse trovato nel suo piccolo bistrot di Termeno la sintesi perfetta delle sue idee, che coniugano l'ecosostenibilità con la qualità e la bellezza. Le verre capricieux si affaccia sulla valle del lago di Caldaro con una splendida vista sulle montagne circostanti. Chiaramente i vini di Elena Walch sono il 'piatto forte', ma tutto il menù - essenziale - è interessante senza essere pretenzioso (menzione per i dolci accompagnati al passito). E' logico la qualità e il panorama si pagano, ma il ristorante non è particolarmente caro (piatto degustazione più un calice vino si resta dentro i 20 euro) e vale decisamente una visita.
