24/01/2025: If you were to ask me where to try local cuisine in Pavia, I would undoubtedly say Antica Trattoria Ferrari. In the two years that I have lived here, I have rarely eaten so well!
We literally had dinner from starter to dessert and there wasn't a dish that didn't convince us, on the contrary, everything went beyond our expectations.
We started with a house starter: I highly recommend it, it is plentiful and full of different tastings, all with local ingredients. It deserves to be ordered even just for the Bonarda coppa, one of the best cold cuts I've eaten in recent months.
As a first course we shared the risotto with Buttafuoco and salami pasta and the braised ravioli. It was difficult to choose what we liked best.
For me, in its simplicity, the risotto was the best I have tasted in Pavia.
As a second course, I finally tried the mixed fried river fish, a specialty of the area!
The river prawns are simply divine, the frogs were delicious, the fish was crunchy and not very greasy.
To finish it all off, we also had dessert, my biscuits with eggnog were incredible, but the winner was the homemade nougat parfait, crazy.
Very honest price given the quantity and quality of the dishes.
A big round of applause also for the service, kind and fast, you gave us a great experience!

19/01/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in questa trattoria poco oltre il ponte coperto di Pavia. Il locale è davvero molto bello, con mattoni a vista, molto più di una semplice trattoria. Il menù è tipico pavese. Abbiamo preso dei ravioli di brasato, un risotto al gorgonzola e una tagliatella al cacao e zucca. I primi tutti buonissimi e porzioni abbondanti . A seguire solo uno di noi ha preso le lumache di secondo (fanno anche la mezza porzione da 6), non eccezionali, dovevano cuocere ancora un po’. Le altre persone hanno preso solo contorni: cipolle caramellate, verdure grigliate e carciofi. Il tutto accompagnato da una bottiglia di vino Bonarda e due di acqua naturale. Per concludere un sorbetto, baci di dama con moscato e tre caffè. Abbiamo speso meno di 40€ a testa. Torneremmo volentieri!
