Lunch while visiting Montepulciano. I realize that everything in this world is relative and being objective is even more so. I had a good time and all in all I was welcomed correctly and what I ate and drank was satisfactory despite some flaws. Account consistent with the context. Satisfied.

I can't understand the bad reviews. It's certainly not a star-rated kitchen, but the price/performance ratio is right here. The pinsas are lavishly topped and taste very good, and the wine selection is also okay. Nice service :) Everything was perfect for us.

We visited the Christmas markets and decided to eat something warm as it was quite cold. We entered the Bistrot and took a seat at a table near the entrance door.....unhealthy idea given that every person who entered was a breath of fresh air. However, the dishes were very good even if not cheap but in the historic center that's okay. The thing that surprised us was when it came time to pay, we spent €104.40, four first courses, four desserts, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water...we asked to divide it by two and the division was surgical, €52.20 per couple. Not even 40 cents off. This had a negative impact on us... they didn't make a good impression.

The place is very affordable but provides a good price quality - we were happy with the meal. Babychair that was provided, even if we were the only ones using one, was broken to the extend it was unusable. Some others comment on hidden charges, this is true - I got alarmed when the waitress quickly got rid of the detailed bill once I got my card out, I asked and got it back and to be honest we weren't really upset with the price as the food was good, but it's quite unnecessary. We had the ravioli, pork knuckle, grilled vegetables with a house wine.

Excellent bistro in the village of Montepulciano, close to the main attractions of the village, welcoming place and friendly, young and polite staff, the food is quite good and the coffee is excellent, the only two negative notes, they only have one high chair for children so if there are the more children we have to argue about it 😅 and the bathroom is a little too small, we are in 2024 almost 2025 and they still haven't equipped themselves with a changing table to change children (a flaw of many local places) to the rest all perfect.

12/04/2025: Very nice restaurant, I chose the lasagna which was very good, the service is fast despite it being busy. The waiter was adorable and helpful, I recommend.
20/03/2025: To get out of the way... we entered here as we might have entered elsewhere. The place is cool, but the atmosphere is stale. There are still brushstrokes from a better time... The housekeeper, very dry, practically doesn't even look at you. The food is not bad, but what really killed us was the table service. €5 for the service, a basket of bread with 4 slices that we didn't try, we ordered pizza and when we finished, they put the same basket on another table... 🤦🏻‍♂️

06/04/2025: We ordered cocktails and the bartender was very friendly and recommended two drinks which were perfect!
29/03/2025: Very comfortable renovated room. Excellent value for money, considering that we are in Piazza del Campo. Beautiful view and trained staff.
