I came here to buy my favorite beer, Olmaia La5, which I think is one of the best craft beers I've tasted so far. The shop also sells other beers with more character, but I liked La5 for its character and flavor. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The brewery is a half-hour drive from the Valdichiana exit on the A1 motorway, about 7 km from Montepulciano in the town of Sant'Albino. It's a bit out of the way, but it's worth the trip.

Anyone who thinks the wine country around Montepulciano is all about wine is mistaken: We discovered a little beer paradise in the "diaspora" 🍺😄. Delicious beer, warm and friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. A detour that's definitely worth it!

03/06/2025: Locale raccolto e gradevole, personale cortese; abbiamo preso il menù degustazione più completo "greatest hits" (130€). Iniziamo con alcune amuse-bouche semplici ma gradevoli (notevole il "biscotto" con mousse al baccalà); seguono piatti a mio parere non tutti di livello adeguato: emergono la quaglia con crema caramel ai funghi, il risotto mandorle e fagiano e il superbo petto di piccione con tarte di melanzane e ricotta affumicata; niente di eclatante gli altri piatti e deludente la "zuppa inglese nocciole e salvia", che in sè è interessante solo per l'accostamento di sapori ma risulta piuttosto "povero"; in sostanza una cena piacevole ma l'aspettativa era più elevata.
15/03/2025: Sarò sincero. Non penso di tornare. Locale piccolo, quasi angusto. Servizio attento, cucina precisa, ma non entusiasmante. Carta dei vini locale, forse troppo. Tutto bene, ma se devo fare il confronto, non ne parliamo.
