We stumbled upon Birrificio Cortonese by chance and only later saw the glowing reviews that confirm it. We ate a 200g Chianina burger sandwich with a generous side dish, and we also enjoyed some delicious mushroom pici... the chef and staff were truly attentive and kind. I think we'll be back tonight for a craft beer and some other delicious food. This is the result of hard work and dedication! Truly excellent.

A typical Cortona restaurant with truly excellent local dishes. Very kind and friendly staff. I recommend booking as there aren't many seats. The pork shank and wild boar cacciatore were truly sublime. The quality and price are fair.

This place brews its own beer and offers a variety of reasonably priced dishes. I tried the pappardelle with wild boar, which I wasn't thrilled with; the pasta was overcooked. My companion ordered ravioli with sage and walnuts, which were quite tasty. For dessert, we tried a simple brownie.

Cortona and the Birrificio Cortonese restaurant are always on our list for a vacation in Tuscany. The food and house wine are highly recommended! Add to that the friendliness of the staff and owners. A definite recommendation when visiting the beautiful town of Cortona! 😃👍

Interesting but basic platter. When we read "cold cuts and cheese," we didn't expect two slices of each, but only a tiny slice of pecorino. It's consistent, but not generous. The burger is good. The tuna salad doesn't match the photo on the starter menu, but it's interesting (there are also lampascioni and dried tomatoes, perhaps it would be worth specifying them on the menu).

I was disappointed with my stinco di maiale which I expected to arrive as tender meat on the bone. Instead, it arrived carved into rather dry and chewy slices on a plate with the bone to one side. I wondered if this was an attempt to rescue a piece of meat that was cooked earlier in the day.

07/09/2025: Adequate service, a quiet and pleasant atmosphere with outdoor seating available. The Fufluns appetizer is very good and highly recommended. The thin and crispy pizza is also excellent.
10/08/2025: It was a pleasant surprise. The mixed fried fish was very good, and the pizzas, thin but large, had a light, easily digestible dough. The service was good, and the quality/price ratio was excellent.

15/05/2025: Maritim eingerichtet, auf Fisch spezialisiert, supernettes Team, dass offensichtlich mit viel Spass und Liebe am arbeiten sind. Wir waren rundum zufrieden, Egal ob Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge oder Nachtisch, alles sehr sehr lecker und das Ananas Tiramisu eine Entdeckung 😋😋😋😋😋
