A Bolognese institution that hasn't changed over time, always true to itself and therefore its identity. The furnishings, structure, tables, and chairs are the same as they once were, a leap into the past, a reminder of when I was a child in the 1970s. My father would take me there on foot or by bike on our walks around the stadium, along the portico of San Luca, on our way to and from the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca. You know Illy coffee; high-class Italian style, Bar Billi is good at offering it to us. Its historic pan spzièl is still the same; for lovers of this dessert, it's a guarantee; it's the classic Bologna certosino that you should only buy at Bar Billi. For tourists, I recommend checking the opening hours of Bar Billy because it's a bit strange. They're quirky, true to themselves, and don't chase after the god of money. Why would any other entrepreneur keep that bar open 24 hours a day? Plan your walk up to San Luca starting from Porta Saragozza. About halfway along, the walk ends on a flat surface, and right at Meloncello, the obligatory stop is at Bar Billi to breathe in the old Bologna. ❤️💙

The bar is strategically located and very spacious inside, with a large room with tables and an outdoor area in the internal courtyard.

I stopped here by chance and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious pastries. The chocolate cream puff is delicious! The outdoor courtyard is cozy and makes you feel like you're outside the city.

The croissant and cappuccino are certainly good, and the cream is excellent, but in my opinion the place is a bit too old and the cleanliness could be improved.
