Bencó In Roma

Rome-Calabria is a 15-minute drive away, just enough time to reach Bencò. Excellent food and reasonable prices, highly recommended for those who want to enjoy traditional Calabrian cuisine (as well as classic Roman first courses). The owner is very friendly and approachable; it was a pleasure to celebrate my birthday here!

A restaurant serving traditional Calabrian cuisine in one of Rome's most beautiful areas. It's a small place, so reservations are recommended. The cuisine is pure Calabrian. If you enjoy the flavors of that region, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Delicious. Fair prices.

This restaurant offers more than just a well-prepared dinner, but a true experience. For the first time, a dish truly moved me, and I didn't think it was possible. I felt like I was back home and at home. Every course was uniquely delicious: the homemade pasta, the amazing desserts, the authentic Calabrian ingredients. Added to all this was a warm and welcoming atmosphere and incredibly kind and attentive staff, from the youngest to Rosi and her son. Thank you for introducing me to this little gem in the vastness of Rome. See you soon!!!

A friendly and pleasant Calabrian restaurant, serving traditional dishes without too many frills.

In this place you can breathe in all the aromas that Calabria has to offer. Excellent.

The restaurant is very charming, decorated in typical Calabrian style with hanging chili peppers. The staff is friendly and quick to serve. The dishes are generous and excellent. The price per person is around €40: there were three of us and we ordered two nduja "su fuoco", one potato with cheese, one magnum (giant croquette), one tartare, and three first courses. The gnocchi are excellent. A bottle of wine and one of water are included. Price €130. Paid street parking. Small dogs are welcome. Not wheelchair or stroller accessible (the restaurant is in the basement with two flights of stairs) except outside in the gazebo.
