Personally, I wouldn't go back; there's a lot of choice, but I didn't find the quality I expected, the service wasn't the best, and the atmosphere was too chaotic for my taste.

Vasta l'offerta dei prodotti: dal dolce al salato, dai gelati agli aperitivi, ad un pranzo veloce di/per lavoro. Qualità molto buona (medio alta) ma non eccellente da ambire alle 5☆. Rapporto qualità prezzo in linea con le proposte ed il mercato. Eccellente lo spazio disponibile sia interno che esterno, ed anche il parcheggio (cosa non troppo comune): ottimo come punto di incontro e di riferimento essendo situato a 200mt dall'uscita della superstrada. Personale cortese e disponibile. Per una colazione od un semplice caffè, un pranzo veloce, un incontro di lavoro o di piacere, questo è sicuramente il posto ideale...🔝👍

31/10/2025: A renowned venue, visited for its Hi-Fi bar and wine and charcuterie tasting! Out of curiosity, we visited the restaurant, and after 10 minutes of utter indifference from the staff, we asked if we could eat. After the initial welcome, we asked for recommendations for dishes, and after a cursory and superficial description of the menu, we chose two dishes, with the waitress making an inappropriate and ambiguous comment... after which we received a "tasting" from the "chef," always welcome in such a location (which, surprisingly, turned out to be paid for and unpalatable). A bad evening, reminiscent of a top restaurant, visited years ago with a completely different level of service. The surprise on the bill... water was never ordered and included, in addition to the entrée offered, which was never ordered (are you kidding?! 🥵). Personally, I will never return, nor will I ever recommend it to friends. Very disappointed.
27/09/2025: The service was very poor. I recommend eating outside the hotel. They don't deserve to have guests.

26/09/2025: Once again, we had the pleasure of dining at La Locanda del Capitano... this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Having lived in Umbria for the past four and a half years, we have grown to truly appreciate fine food and wine, and for me as a passionate food and wine lover, there is simply no better place than this culinary jewel in Montone. Chef Giancarlo Polito is more than just a master in the kitchen... he is a true gentleman. His genuine care for his guests and his dedication to creating unforgettable dining experiences set this restaurant apart. Every visit feels special, thanks to the perfect combination of exquisite cuisine, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay much longer. We absolutely love it here, and La Locanda del Capitano continues to be one of the highlights of our life in Umbria.
