I'm not sure where all the one and 2 star reviewers ate.... but Belforte was a delightful dining experience even when the sun was down and it was after dark.

We were coming down from Castello Doria and decided to stop in this restaurant for lunch. The view was spectacular from the restaurant patio. The patio slopes down towards one side so all the tables are sloping too.
The service was good but the food was average. The fried shrimp and squid plate was a little plain and the batter was a bit soft so I don't recommend that dish. The fried fresh fish that another in our group ordered was delicious.
After you pay, they give you limoncello and an assortment of biscuits. They have a restroom for customers.

Our dinner at Belforte was simply sublime. We were welcomed by Andrea, a waiter who showed us his culture and his love for food and people. Perfect service, full of humor! Michela's pesto was exquisite. Thank you Andrea, you made our evening ❤️ We will always remember this meal!

This place was incredible. The servers were top notch. Both Marco and Andrea took excellent care of us. The warm seafood salad and the squid ink pasta are must have dishes. Both my partner and I were nervous to try squid ink and we were so happy that we did. That dish was a standout for us amongst all of Cinque Terre. The views of this restaurant are absolutely breath taking.

Nous avons très bien mangé.
Le serveur était très sympathique et le cadre très beau.
Petit point négatif : les toilettes un peu limites (pas de planche...).

Building is stunning and so cool. Views were stunning. Staff was so friendly, kind and helpful. Super reasonably priced. Food was delicious - we got the seafood pasta, pesto pasta and mix of anchovies. Good wine selection. This place was definitely worth the hype!

The food is excellent and there is a large selection. The old fortress is a top location. On the terrace you have a wonderful view over the sea. But you can also eat inside in the fortress tower. Here too it is a very special atmosphere. You even have to see the toilet. The boss is unique. He is a very funny guy and has a hat for almost every country. It's best to tell him which country you come from and whether he has a hat to go with it. Then you know what I mean.

Tomamos el risotto de curry con langoustina, que es una de sus especialidades. Afortunadamente habíamos hecho una reserva unos días antes, porque todo el asiento (creo que solo tienen un asiento de unas 12-15 mesas) estaba reservado. Es una subida por muchos escalones hasta el restaurante de la torre, por lo que muchas personas sin reservas fueron rechazados después de que hicieron la subida! Los postres son geniales y nos dieron algunos regalos como chupitos de Limoncello. El personal de camareros es genial y algo hilarante, pero atento. La vista al mar es genial, también. Puedes vestirte, o venir informalmente, dependiendo de tu propia ocasión.
