Review of Beija Flor Brazilian Churrascaria Restaurant, Viale Lecco 113 - Como
Improve details
The restaurant is located in a busy area just outside the walled city, a strategic and highly trafficked location for anyone who wants a generous meal while keeping prices low with the all-you-can-eat option.
Parking is plentiful along the avenue, but being in the center of Como, it's not easy to find a spot.
The restaurant has a large interior dining room, several other secluded rooms, and a mezzanine, but unfortunately, it lacks outdoor space. The decor is truly Brazilian, with a strong and distinct character, almost too ostentatious to the point of being "too much."
The clientele, given this "all-you-can-eat" option, is very diverse, especially young groups, couples, and families, making it a very friendly place.
The welcome is warm and friendly, provided by the strictly Brazilian and very helpful staff.
The menu is only on paper because, aside from drinks, everything depends on what's on the waiters' swords as they roam the place.
The cuisine is purely Brazilian, with large cuts of meat ranging from ribs to sausages, spinach, chicken, pineapple, and finally the famous Picanha. The waiters pass these delicacies around, skewered
on special swords, and you can choose whether or not to take them.
Initially, there was a vast buffet available to complete the meal, but due to Covid-related reasons or unnecessary waste, it was eliminated.
This decision obviously led to a downside, as you can no longer choose what you want, but instead rely on what's brought, with no choice whatsoever and a significantly limited selection of dishes that were
previously available. A downside to the offering is the high risk of getting dirty, as obviously, when the meat is sliced on the serving platter, if you're not careful, you're sure to get stained.
The same goes for the tablecloth, which at the end of the meal looks like a trench.
The raw ingredients are obviously of average quality, and there's no attention to detail in the concept of the dish given the nature of the meat rotation; the focus is obviously on quantity.
The dishes are very basic, simple, and unrefined. The strong point is that it's one of the few in the area to offer this philosophy; you can tell it's a place geared toward making numbers.
The overall cleanliness of the place is meticulous, but it's chaotic and noisy. If you're looking for quiet, it's best to get a table in the background, away from the main dining room or the mezzanine.
The price is average for all places of this type.
My rating is 3/5, as there are many areas where they could easily improve, such as a better selection of the buffet offered rather than imposing it, greater attention to the risk of mess, and perhaps
expanding the selection with something innovative.
Please remember that every review is intended to improve, not merely criticize.

The best Brazilian restaurant. The picanha is succulent and tender, the buffet is extensive and varied, and the cheese bread is wonderful.
The service is top-notch, the staff are polite and attentive. The chef is very professional and dedicated. And speaking of the price: Very fair, you can eat as much as you want and enjoy the clean and comfortable environment.
