Beccafico – A return to emotion, in the heart of Palermo
After years, we returned to Beccafico, and we were thrilled. This restaurant isn't just a place where you eat divinely, but for me it's also a place close to my heart: it's where it all began, the beginning of my story, of wonderful memories that time has never faded.

ENVIRONMENT
Nice place, clean and tidy. It doesn't stand out for its design but is still very pleasant.
FOOD:
Everything we ate was very good but I cannot give 5 stars in the FOOD category due to some preparation errors.
Aperifish varied, rich and very good. The only flaw was the temperature of the meatballs, served too cold. Of course, the raw materials are very fresh, but they are really served too cold. 20 seconds in the microwave and it was done.
First courses. Given that I eat a little saltier than normal, my spaghetti tartare of red prawns and sea urchins was spectacular and almost perfect in salt. However, the clams and urchins dish was objectively too salty. In that case it was no longer a question of personal taste in salting but of a real error of excess salt.
If it hadn't been for that mistake the pasta would have been €9, like the prawn and sea urchin tartare dish. Sin.
Seconds:
Delicious stuffed squid.
When serving it, however, it would have been correct to tell the customer that the filling was red-hot, practically almost inedible, compared to the external pulp of the squid at an adequate temperature and which was in fact misleading, making people believe that the inside was also at the same temperature. Excellent tiramisu.
Ultimately:

Gold medal for the service boys. Very kind, friendly, thoughtful.
They contribute to raising the bar of the value of the tasting experience.

The prawn and sea urchin tartare pasta (which you see in the photo and which represents a dish divided into two so the portion is actually more generous) is pure poetry. It's Sicily, it's the sea, it's our land.

I do not recommend the octopus with citronette.. also to the manager, remove it from the menu.. they arrive with 4 tentacles in number and also duritti, 4 euros per tentacle.. 4!! As it arrived I photographed it. Then you don't understand why you order an oyster and you get an oyster, you order a sea bream and you get a sea bream... but if you order an octopus you only get 4 pieces. I have to add this to the black book of unwritten rules of fish restaurants. I also advise against the mixed grill, I do it better at home and the red prawns.. They remain red.... Leave them all. Bruschetta and cod of the day are ok.
