Nous sommes restés une semaine à Rome , pour des vacances en famille , & nous avons mangés 3 soirs dans ce restaurant , tellement c'était délicieux & sympa ! Bref ; allez-y les yeux fermés !

Wonderful service and delicious pasta!

Having recently arrived in Rome, we stopped by chance, we didn't do anything wrong! The owners are very kind as are the waiters. But above all we ate very well. An unforgettable meatloaf with a side of chicory. Highly recommended

Excellent food, great service and friendly staff. The concierge at our hotel sent us there. Short 12 minute walk. Four of us shared a cheese and salami platter. We all had meatballs and pasta with tomato sauce. All was delicious! Plenty to eat and couldn’t finish the pasta. Still left room for us to share tiramisu! So delicious! They finished us off with a delicious shot of limoncello! Great dinner with good friends and wonderful people who work and serve at this restaurant!

È come tornare indietro nel tempo e ricordare le sane abitudini culinarie che ci hanno accompagnato in gioventù. I proprietari sono fantasticamente gentili ed accoglienti. Grazie per essere rimasti fedeli alle usanze della cucina romana del passato, sempre attualissima.

I think about the cacio e pepe from Barzilai at least once a week. It haunts my dreams; it throws me into an existential crisis where I've planned out exactly how I'm quitting my job and restarting my life in Rome just so I can have this cacio e pepe regularly (are you hiring?). Is there better cacio e pepe out there? Impossible. I stumbled upon this place originally back in 2022 while visiting from Canada with a friend. We were well into our Italian pizza and pasta diet, but this by far was the best food we had in Rome. Since then, I've made sure to stop here on all my visits since for the cacio e pepe, their daily food special, and whatever wine they tell me to drink. Whatever they recommend, get - you won't be disappointed. I last was here April 2024, where I traveled with WestJet's flight crew and I took the pilot here for dinner. The cacio e pepe was just as I remembered it, I'm pretty sure we both licked the bowl clean before eating a tiramisu. He demanded we return here for lunch the next day. I've been told now that this pilot takes credit for finding this place, and has been telling his colleagues to go here, too, when they have overnight stays. Although he is a liar, I'm just happy that he is spreading the love for Barzilai's cacio e pepe with the world, too. I'm counting down the days until I'm reunited with my cacio e pepe in July this year. Cheers from your biggest Canadian fan. TLDR: Run here, don't walk.

Lovely dinner at Barzilai last night. And just remember that dinner menu gets available only after 19:30 (it’s normal). Aperol Spritz, main courses and tiramisu we ordered were very delicious. I took a chicken dish and highly recommend it. My husband took carbonara, it was quite a big portion, pasta was freshly made and overall tasty.
