Finally, a restaurant run by an Italian family. The son and parents bickering while serving :). The customers mostly speak Italian. Great food. The best tiramisu of the week. Honestly, ratings in Rome don't mean anything...

This restaurant focuses mainly on pasta (no pizza). We went for lunch and received a very warm welcome. There was a small mix-up with the starter; we wanted to share one, but the waiter brought one each, which was a bit annoying. The Roman artichoke was good, though it could have had a bit more of a unique kick. The pasta was excellent: both the carbonara and the ravioli were delicious and well made.
It’s a family-owned place, and it was nice to see the father and son working together. Overall, worth trying!

Everything you expect from traditional Roman cuisine! A mother in the kitchen preparing the food, and her children in the dining room welcoming you and making you feel at home. Excellent tonnarelli with artichokes, bacon, and pecorino cheese, and the wonderful Roman-style artichokes. The ricotta and cocoa tart is fabulous! All in a quaint setting with an outdoor area and an open kitchen! Absolutely reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Cacio e pepe top, all the dishes tasted very good, the homemade tart was amazing, which gave that extra edge to the 88 year old owner super friendly and experienced man who knows how to make the customer feel at ease as if they were at home

A small restaurant in the heart of the Monti neighborhood. Refined yet unpretentious menu. Helpful and friendly staff. We ordered the tuna tataki on a bed of caponata...amazing! A must-visit if you're looking for a pleasant evening in one of Rome's most characteristic neighborhoods.

Visiting Rome from New York, we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a truly authentic Roman restaurant. The staff were incredibly welcoming and spoke excellent English, which made the experience even better.
I rarely write reviews, but this place was absolutely magnificent. The beef tartare was so good we had to order it twice. The amatriciana pasta was cooked to perfection—rich, flavorful, and exactly how it should be.
We’re four days into our vacation, and this has been the best restaurant we’ve tried so far. 10/10—highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing meal near the Colosseum.
