Currently the restaurant with the best value for money on the Eastern Shore. Traditional dishes, well-cooked and served in equally satisfying portions. The chocolate salami is absolutely the best I've ever tasted. It's a shame they can't make a note of your reservation: when you arrive, they'll just place you anywhere, and sometimes it's almost right on your doorstep... 🫤

We found this place on Google maps with good reviews. I will say we really enjoyed the food and the friendly service! We will definitely come back here to eat.

Very nice and local restaurant. We were there for lunch. Simple but very tasty dishes. Very cozy.

Excellent quality and price, different choice of menus.

Such a great experience, having lunch with the locals. It was lunch time, so all tables were full. However, the owner moved some tables around and brought another table from the terrace, to accommodate us. They have a daily menu with 3 choices of first course and 3 choices of second course. Delicios traditional food, great authentic atmosphere.

I stumbled upon this trattoria in Laveno Mombello after finding many lakeside establishments closed or without a fixed-price lunch menu. I had a truly positive experience at this family-run restaurant, where I enjoyed a full menu for €15: braised ravioli, roast beef, baked potatoes, water, and coffee. The food was truly high-quality, especially the meat, both in the filling and the main course. The service was friendly, a bit slow for a business lunch, but it was a special day as there were many construction workers. The atmosphere is typical of a simple trattoria, maintaining the traditional design of days gone by. Recommended. 4⭐

We visited this FAMILY restaurant many time s during our week stay in Laveno. It started with looking for Hot Chocolate “Chocolata Calda GRANDE!” We had brioches with chocolate or marmalade then other meals we had the special of the day which was always posted on the sign outside. I must says the we got to meet the WHOLE family and they were all EXCEPTIONALLY friendly. We did not have to pay in advance they just seemed to know what we had and we paid with out ANY remorse. We got to meet the “Couka” and she taught me a few words in Italian while I helped her with English. Frankly she was pretty good without my help. We shared wine with them and they were all EXCEPTIONALLY very happy to take pictures with us. They teased my friend when he would order a cappuccino to go for his wife. SO friendly we will definitely go back when we return! Laveno is very walkable and safe. Barlafüs is so fun and great food. They made us feel like we were part of their family. It doesn’t get any better than that!!!
