Baracon In Valtournenche

After a long skiing in the Cervinia-Zermatt-Valtournenche area, it is an immense pleasure to rest in this small refuge (much less touristy than those on the Cervinia side). We eat simple dishes from the local culture (the best polenta concia with porcini mushrooms in my life). Eating excellent polenta outdoors overlooking the Valtournenche valley is like nothing else. One of my favorite places... And I confirm it again even after 5 years

Great location in the middle of the ski route. Great view and comfortable chairs. The prices are very high for very small portions. Pasta bolognese for 15 euros was a children's dish. The polenta with the meat was excellent

Delicious food and fabulous menu with charming set up but I felt sorry for the staff who were rushed off feet. We were there at new year week so maybe calmer in a quieter week

Definitely the best mountain food I’ve found in the resort. If skiing from Zermatt for the day, I highly recommend this spot to get a taste of Italy. Reservations suggested. Great sun even as early as December. Music is a solid vibe.
