12/04/2025: Saturday lunch with friends.
Simple, rustic place, immediately warm welcome.
Arriving earlier than the other car, we sit and wait at the outdoor tables near the vegetable garden.
I don't have time to go in to ask for a bottle when the owner comes to meet me with a bottle of good prosecco, water and a fresh and tasty cheese.
They certainly started off on the right foot, and we greatly appreciated his gesture of attention.
We're all finally here. Let's go in. We study the large menu, and reading it makes you want to try everything. The very kind waiter also lists the off-menu dishes with the first fresh mushrooms of the season.
We take two maxxxi starters to share...then some opt for
An encore of first courses: risotto with morels, taleggio and speck, and tagliatelle with pernioli.
Some move directly to the second courses with grilled mutton with baked potatoes (AMAZING), sliced beef with porcini mushrooms (which despite not being a porcini season, were still good, tasty and definitely plentiful) and potatoes with truffles (they only make them upon reservation, and THEY ARE SPECTACULAR!!!)
We drank house wine, brought in bottles with the restaurant's label.
Both the white and the red are excellent (they have an extensive wine list capable of making even the most demanding happy).
Coffee, homemade desserts, truly homemade and as good as things homemade with love, like all their dishes.
From the truffle semifreddo, definitely worth trying, to the trifle that deserved the praise and a creme brulee that I wish would never end...
Halfway through the meal we already felt a bit at home, at the end of the meal there were no longer any doubts, we were part of their large family, they offered us various homemade liqueurs, and here too the quality was beautifully present among the flavours.
It was a beautiful discovery, and a real pleasure for the mood and the palate.
Some places are precious pearls that should be kept as treasures.
At the end they honored us with some fantastic chestnut flour from their store. What can I say.... We highly recommend it. I'll be back. We'll be back
