Guido is a soul of a man and the man behind the counter. Lovely with style and very helpful. Here you are greeted with a handshake and by name. A bar like you don't find often anymore. Thanks Guido ❤️

27/02/2024: A real tavern. From the furnishings (very dated but perfectly in line with the environment) to the customers, everything is as it should be. Honest, quality wine and fried foods.

Bar Caffè Retrò

18/02/2024: It was all right, but the plate was dirty.
16/09/2023: We caught the Muggia ferry opposite a couple of days ago but did not notice Caffè Retro. Typical bar where you pay more for table service outside than going to the bar. Adds 0.5€ per drink. On busy seafront road but it is warm and still sunny mid September as we contemplate a return to a wet homeland next week. Paulicarus and Madge on a small beer alla spina 3.50€ ( Austrian Hirter beer). Americano coffee (2€) for us. Not a fan of Segafredo.
