Bar Trattoria Nostromo In Viareggio

We tried to go for dinner without a reservation and it worked out well. We found two seats (on a Thursday), the waiters were very kind, we had a seafood carbonara and paccheri alla trabaccolare, both excellent, then a fried vegetable dish and an exceptional white soup (so much so that my wife asked for half), a delicious ricotta and almond cake, for a fair final price and they even offered us two liqueurs. A place where they don't skimp on the portion size or the fish on the dishes. We've booked for the following Saturday too 👍

Tourist spot near the port of Viareggio....the tuna and salmon tartare are really good...the ingredients are not processed very well and have too much pepper...the Moretti on tap is good, but I recommend it anyway.

Such a great spot! We had the fritto misto and octopus — both super fresh and full of flavor. Everything tasted homemade and authentically Italian. The seafood was perfectly cooked, not greasy at all. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and totally non-touristy. A real local gem in Viareggio — would definitely come back!

A bar-restaurant in the Viareggio dock area, with several tables, including outdoor seating. The menu offers a limited selection of quality dishes, some of which are based on the availability of the fish. Attentive and efficient service, paper tablecloths, and lemon hand towels are provided. Generous portions, especially the spaghetti, which also feature abundant seafood. A simple wine list, with the option of wine by the glass.

The fried fish was very good, and well worth it. The tuna tartare was "poor," with no seasoning to enhance its flavor and texture, and the fish itself was bland. The ravioli with ragù were undercooked, but it was too late to send them back. On a negative note, the grilled octopus wasn't exactly tender; it completely lacked the crispiness of the caramelized skin, and it tasted only of smoke. And to top it off, it was cold! Really cold! The tiramisu wasn't bad, except for the slight wateriness at the bottom, but it tasted good. The staff was friendly, and the owner kindly split the bill for us (we were with friends) without fuss, even though he'd already issued the single receipt. For everything described, plus a coffee and two bottles of water, we spent €85...for two. It should be considered a trattoria, not a restaurant in the strict sense of the word. But still, my opinion is just average. Worth a try, but don't expect too much. (And it's not cheap, anyway.)

Locale storico della darsena dove si mangia ottimi piatti a base di pesce. Abbiamo preso come antipasto un'insalata di mare,poi uno spaghetto allo scoglio e la padella del nostromo specialità del posto. I piatti sono veramente molto buoni ed abbondanti, il servizio molto celere e tutto il personale molto simpatico. Come dolce una torta della nonna e un tiramisù tutto veramente squisito! A presto!

Ambiente semplice, menù di mare a prezzi in linea con la media della zona. Servizio attento, abbiamo passato una gradevole serata.
