Bar Trattoria Genziana In Tarvisio

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, we were happy with our experience here. We stopped here after hiking the nearby lakes and had to get some pizza and pasta while we were in Italy. I got the pizza chili, which was basically spicy pepperoni and olive oil, it was delicious. My wife got the pasta bolognese and was really satisfied with it as well. The service was attentive and friendly and it seemed like a local spot judging by the other patrons and how familiar they were with the owner. The patio area is right next to the road, which may not be for everyone, but we didn’t mind.

Good food, with fair prices. Was good to stop after a hike at the Laghi Di Fusine and eat their specialirt of the day. Also, comfortable parking at the premises. Recommended.

We had a pizza and some wine at this lovely place. The owner and his brother were super friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. I can highly recommend to stop here and eat something!

A charming roadside restaurant. The staff doesn't speak much English, but you can tell they're trying. It has a typical Italian atmosphere, which surprised me, considering the diversity of the region. It's not the pinnacle of Italian cuisine, but the spaghetti Bolognese tastes just right, and the pizza is simply delicious and filling. The restrooms are clean and modern. I recommend it if you want a bite to eat after spending time at the nearby lake—it's worth it. A plus is the very short wait.

The atmosphere is outdated, the wait is longer than usual, but the tuna pizza was good and for a reasonable price (12€).

Nice little roadside pizzeria with delicious food. I recommend it to anyone who likes a simple, not too expensive local atmosphere.

We stopped by on our way from Lago del Predil. We felt it was more of a locals hangout and tourists weren't very welcome...food was average, as was the atmosphere and service.
