Arrived by chance, after asking a trader in Altomonte for information.
A slightly retro place, but it gives the impression of being at home.
There are three of us and we took different things.
The hot recipes stand out, recalling artisanal flavors that are now difficult to find.
The home-grown vegetables are good, the first courses and the meat-based second courses are also good.
At the end of lunch we ask if there are any desserts and the young waitress's response is: "now I'll ask mum what she prepared". I confess that I was moved and so as not to leave you in doubt, "mum's" desserts were also worth it.
A place where it is worth stopping, or rather a place to come specifically.

A genuine trattoria where you can taste local dishes. If you choose the mixed starter, you will also taste Cruschi peppers, a specialty from Lucania and northern Calabria. The restaurant is not far from the Altomonte exit (one of the most beautiful villages in Italy to visit even just for the cathedral) of the Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway

Rispetto alle recensioni, mi aspettavo di più. Poca varietà nei primi, secondi semplici e banali tranne la trippa molto buona,vino della casa mediocre che ci ha indotti a optare per una bottiglia di rosso(servita in ghiaccio🤨).
