Bar Splendide In Bellagio

We loved this hotel which belies its three star rating. It was “Splendide” indeed. The lobby is archetypal Italian with marble floors, charming furniture and a beautifully ornate staircase rising its six floors. I was with family and all three rooms we had were delightfully decorated and had quite sophisticated marble tiled bathrooms with nice toiletries. One room, which was a little more expensive, had a panoramic view of Lake Como which is definitely worth paying for if you are on a romantic break. The Excelsior Splendide’s main attraction however is its location. It couldn’t really be any better being right in the centre of Bellagio, almost opposite the ferry landing at the end of the strip of restaurants and shops that are strung along the lakeshore. Everywhere is easily walkable. We arrived by car but the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff let us park outside the hotel, which is slightly inside a pedestrian area, to drop our bags before directing us to the Hotel’s parking garage further up the hill. We will return.

I loved it. What a view!!! They also helped us with storing our belongings.

The location was convenient and the room was satisfactory overall. However we encountered an issue with ants during our stay, which significantly impacted our experience. Regrettably, I would not choose to stay here again.

We loved this hotel. Spectacle views of the lake, several restaurants nearby, professional staff, good service, clean rooms. Highly recommend!

Today I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Excelsior restaurant and I must say that the welcome I received was exceptional. Special thanks go to the head waiter, Salah, who proved to be a fantastic person. I would also like to express my gratitude to the waiters, especially Isabella, who showed professionalism and courtesy at all times. The dishes we chose were really very good. I highly recommend the Excelsior restaurant to anyone who wants a welcoming and refined environment. Thanks again to Salah and his team for such an enjoyable lunch!

This hotel is value for money. The rooms are nice and spacious. Only improvement could be replacing main door lock with latest key card tech. Currently they have a old lock system with a really bulky key which is difficult 2 carry. Ac is centrally controlled which is also a bit of issue. Lift is really small.Other than that nothing else 2 complain. Lake view room has a very good view of the lake. Try to get rooms on 3rd / 4th floor. Lot of restaurants near the hotel. Ferry is infront of the hotel. Staff is courteous and polite. This hotel is advertised as 3 star and I would consider it on higher side of 3 star

Excellent experience. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the rooms were very clean and well-appointed, with good beds and an excellent view. The breakfast was very good. The location is the best, right in the center as soon as you get off the ferry. Highly recommended. I came with my family from Argentina for two nights, and we thought it was the best and at a good price.
