14/08/2025: Vino Blues Bar– A Corner of Home in the Heart of Gessate
In a city brimming with establishments where the goal is often little more than the ringing of a cash register, there exists—thankfully—a place of an entirely different spirit. Vino Blues, nestled discreetly in Gessate, is not merely a bar, nor simply a café, nor even just a wine spot. It is, in the truest and rarest sense of the word, a home.
This is not the kind of venue that trades charm for trend, or ambiance for excess. No — here, in this warm, intimate enclave, one finds something far more enduring: belonging. Each morning and evening, without fail, it is the locals—those who walk these very streets and live in these very buildings—who gather here, not out of habit, but out of affection. That, in itself, speaks volumes.
The soul of Vino Blues Bar is Omar: proprietor, sommelier, barista, and quiet curator of community. His hand is in every detail, his presence at once reassuring and reserved. Should you have ever read Ernest Hemingway—" A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" this bar is always reminds me of that story. Story about the place where the air is clean and the light is clear—you may understand the atmosphere here.
One may come for an expertly poured espresso, a traditional Italian panino, or a glass of honest, well-chosen wine. But one stays for the feeling. For the live jazz and gentle jam sessions that fill the evenings. For the book presentations, the art exhibitions, the wine tastings.
