Bar Pizzeria La Pineta In Caltagirone

08/03/2026: We came here, but before we even ordered, my friend wasn't feeling well. I mentioned this (I speak Italian) and said I'd come back later alone, perhaps to pick up some food. At that point, you're half-ignored, treated like a tourist, and they're very unfriendly. I did indeed go back later on my own and was again treated unfriendly. Only by the waiter outside, not by the waiter inside. The pizzeria is in a nice square, and the terrace looks inviting. Inside, the lighting is far too bright. I ordered a glass of wine and a pizza. The wine is the most disgusting I've ever had in Italy. So I ordered a bottle of wine and sent the glass back. They didn't charge me for it either. When I received the pizza, it seemed very greasy; the oil was dripping all over it. However, it tasted very good. As I sat there for a while, the waiter became more friendly. I ended up taking a pizza home for my friend, which was also very good. In short: The food was good, but the staff aren't very friendly. It's as if they'd rather you not be there. I wouldn't recommend it; there are certainly much better places where you'd be treated better.

18/02/2026: Pizza diavola was good, more filling than usual in this type of pizza, dough was ok, service was ok. We waited 5 minutes for the food.
