Bar Paolo In Bologna

A formal bar......a circular counter where you dine and a few tables. The choice is wide with a cuisine that makes traditional dishes that are absolutely well made. The Bolognese cutlet...excellent. And the gin and tonic taken before was also truly remarkable.

We spotted this place across the road and thought we’d try it. What a find. The design of the bar is amazing - a classic, built to the specifications of barman’s father, Paolo. And the barman - welcoming, friendly. We didn’t eat but would have had we had time.I wish I was a local!

My wife and I came across this amazing little spot in Bologna after two other restaurants had told us they were full...and we are happy we did! The space is great because it's cozy and personable. We got to chat with Gianluca the whole time we were there at the bar enjoying the wonderful food and drinks. Thank you again! Cin cin!
