We had a set lunch menu, along with fava bean and chicory soup and good wine, and finished with coffee and a nun's tetta (a typical Italian dish), all excellent. The owner was kind and friendly and took the time to chat with us. Despite being December, it was lovely outside; each chair had a blanket in case we got cold. Excellent experience. Fair price.

The service is friendly, attentive, and always available, making you feel at home. An experience that goes beyond simply eating. Top-notch desserts. Highly recommended.
23/07/2025: We ate at the outdoor tables, a pleasant atmosphere, spectacular fried anchovies, cruschi peppers, and a super black sandwich with octopus! The girl at the tagoli was lovely.

18/11/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant in the historic center of Matera by chance, and I must say we were lucky after having rejected at least four other restaurants that didn't inspire confidence in our search for local, homemade delicacies. Excellent welcome from the kind and attentive waiter... We don't know his name, but he was Venezuelan and exuded great empathy and professionalism. Excellent, authentically Lucanian and homemade food, as shown in the attached photo. Cavatelli alla Lucana and Lucanian sausage. Ash-crusted potato. We recommend it. Valerio & Francesca
