Bar Mercurio In Milano

Wasn’t able to get a seat outside gusto next door so I chose Mercurio. I sat outside for breakfast. The best pain au chocolat I had - thick pastry, good amount of of chocolate inside. The cap was good enough. Would be my go to place if I lived this city. Definitely worth it if you’re able to sit outside.

We ordered seafood spaghetti and soup, which were delicious and had a good consistency, and the portions were large. The food was good for the price, but they charged 10 euros for a can of coke, and the cover charge was 5 euros. So, 1 seafood soup cost 14 euros, 1 seafood pasta dish cost 14 euros, 1 can of coke cost 10 euros, and the cover charge was 5 wuro, making our total payment 43 euros. If we'd known the coke was so expensive, we wouldn't have had it. I think it was a bit higher than Italy. We'd been wanting to eat seafood for a while, so we didn't pay much attention to the prices. The food was good, though. If the prices are reasonable, we recommend it.

A stone's throw from the Duomo, this restaurant is primarily frequented by tourists. The prices are ultimately reasonable for the area. The food, however, is mediocre, but not truly bad. It has the advantage of serving meals in the middle of the afternoon. The service is unfriendly. Cleanliness needs improvement.

The food is tasty, though the service didn’t feel particularly warm or welcoming.

I tried the carbonara and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. Good quality ingredients, generous portions and balanced taste. The place is well-kept, the service is courteous and the waiting times are right.

I have breakfast every morning at 05.40 and despite the time the welcome is always pleasant, a chat that sets the day in motion especially with the bartender Mr. Leo always nice, professional and courteous while preparing excellent coffees and cappuccinos. The prices are in line with the excellent service, the place is well-kept, clean and bright, the attention to detail is immediately noticeable. As for the cuisine I think it is in line, if not superior to expectations, the dishes are well presented with attention to detail and the food is of good quality. Honest prices compared to other places in the area. Not forgetting that you are 4 steps from Piazza del Duomo, the beating heart of Milan always on the move for work or tourism. Historic place full of possibilities to be able to vary from grilled pizza to a simple and quick first course for those who work as an alternative to those who have more time to dedicate to lunch and dinner.
