04/01/2025: California Bakery, located just a short stroll from the historic Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio, is a delightful spot that offers an organic twist on classic American treats. The cozy yet modern ambiance makes it a perfect retreat after exploring the nearby sights. The menu is a treasure trove for food lovers, with everything from fresh bagels and pancakes to hearty salads and indulgent cheesecakes. The emphasis on organic ingredients truly shines through in the flavors—everything feels fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Their coffee is excellent, pairing perfectly with their baked goods.
02/01/2025: The extremely charming and cheerful waitress was straightforward that there were no eggs and thus also no pancakes as fresh supplies hadn't arrived yet early on the first opening day after the holidays. That's a bummer if you came here for pancakes and eggs... We then chose bagles from the ample range of alternatives and were absolutely thrilled! You could actually taste the lime juice in the guac on the greek bagle and nearly needed a fork lift for the ton of salmon on the NY bagle. Both delicious. We have another three days in Milan and will definitely be back after fresh eggs have been delivered. They are supposed to come this afternoon.... 😉
