All the restaurants were packed, but here we didn't have to wait because, being at the entrance to the village, people weren't stopping there. Plus, it was a good price compared to other places on Lake Como, a 40-minute train ride from Milan.

Had both breakfast and dinner there. Crazy good in my opinion. The location is amazing, the view was fantastic and we didnt even have to wait longer than 10 minutes. Totally worth it. The food was outstanding, I had the alfredo tortellinis and I still think about them sometimes.

Food was amazing, we went there for breakfast one day and we came back another day for dinner. We had pasta and lasagna and risotto and it was absolutely delicious. The tables are very close to eachother and you don’t have a lot of space, but it’s not really a problem since the views to Varenna and the lake are beautiful. Definitely saving this place in case we visit Lago di Como again.

When arriving in Varenna by ferry for a short walk around the town, Bar Il Molo immediately caught our attention. Even though the place was packed, they managed to find us a table very quickly.
We ordered a platter of local cheese and ham, pinsa quattro formaggi, and bruschetta. For dessert, we had Bombardino and hot chocolate. We must say that even though the place is very small and extremely busy, especially considering it was 01.01.2026, the service was excellent and very friendly, with staff recommending dishes to us.
It has been a long time since we found a restaurant that offered such great quality for the price.

The service was decent, although we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to turn on the heat lamp next to us. Otherwise, the setting was very nice.
