While sightseeing in Vieste, we happened to stop at Caffè Gelateria Ruggieri: a welcoming place with truly delicious gelato. We found the service friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. A highlight: they offer a wide selection of lactose-free gelato, ideal for those with lactose intolerances or simply preferring lighter options without sacrificing flavor.

We were there on September 3, 2025 but we have been going to the ice cream shop for 4 years now and they make excellent ice creams. I recommend everyone to go.

While strolling through the beautiful town of Vieste, we noticed this gelateria, crowded with tourists. Since my wife loves gelato, we stopped for a treat. I must say, our choice of location was superb, both for the delicious gelato and the helpful staff. I give it five stars because it's impossible to give more. I highly recommend it.

This place is certainly renowned in the area, and it gets a lot of traffic. Inside, it's the same as when it opened, never renovated.
Given the high tourist traffic, the staff works on inertia, almost without a smile. In a way, that's understandable.
The gelato is good, but not exceptionally good; it's standard, like many other places. It's a shame they sell it at high prices, above average. Overall, I'd say it's avoidable.

5 stars for the gelato because it's truly excellent. There are always new flavors, and they're all really good. The granita is also very good, made with fresh fruit. However, the staff deserves 3 stars, especially the cashier, who is decidedly rude and unfriendly.
The gelato shop also has one very small and cramped bathroom; it's always dirty and doesn't have toilet paper.
I only go there because the gelato is delicious.

A top-notch ice cream shop, winner of the first prize at the Italian Ice Cream Championship, it truly deserves this recognition.
Several flavors are available, including the super-trendy "skibbydipoppi," a salted caramel and popcorn flavor. But among the flavors chosen, the best was the white Nutella. Wow!

Ci siamo fermati a prendere due granite e devo dire che sono state le migliori che abbia mai mangiato. Quella al melone aveva proprio il gusto del frutto e si sentiva che era fatta artigianalmente e non con gli sciroppi come in molti altri posti, lo stesso quella all’anguria. Hanno 6 gusti (gelso e melograno costano 0.50 cent in più) ma sono veramente buonissime. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

Piccola gelateria situata al centro di Vieste. La scelta è poca ma i gusti sono buoni e dalla consistenza piacevole. I costi sono in linea con quelli del posto.
