Bar Gattuso In Castronovo di sicilia

Traveling along the Via Magna Francigena, we came across the Gattuso family restaurant, true professionals in their field. We dined there twice, sampling the various dishes on offer, all of which were of excellent quality and craftsmanship, always worthy of their reputation. The value for money is truly extraordinary. I recommend making a reservation for anyone who happens to be in the Castronuovo area. It's definitely worth it!

After a long day walking the MVF and in between the town’s Easter festivities, they very kindly prepared an early dinner without meat for us with the fresh ingredients they had available. We had cheese and caponata as a starter and a very tasty pasta with aubergine and tuna, freshly prepared. To top it off, they gifted us two cannoli as take away dessert. They also serve ice cream which we also had and which was very tasty. Highly recommended!

Sorry I don't have any photos, but I didn't have my phone with me. I've rarely had the pleasure of experiencing such kindness and helpfulness. The owner is truly a great, wonderful person. In 10 minutes, he had a plate of pasta and a legendary appetizer ready for us. I wish him all the best!
