Historic bar in Soverato. Family run, great prices. The owner is kind and punctual in preparing the cups of steaming aromatic mixture. The owner, in addition to serving tables, has a voice like a nightingale! It opens even before dawn... around 4 in the morning. I know this because, its first customers, while they stop on the sidewalk to sip the first coffee of the day.... They speak in low voices so as not to disturb the neighbors who are deep in their sleep. the conversation, however, always tends to set fire to spirits... the buzz becomes shouting and, at times, you can hear their conversations, not at all banal, in the darkness of your bedroom. One client, in particular, attracts my attention... he has a deep, guttural tone of voice, he could very well be a radio commentator, read books on the radio or simply lend the voice to an actor from overseas. ...what a formidable voice De Niro would have.... In all these years, I have never been able to put a face to that voice. Even though they wake me up before dawn every morning... I don't mind them, their conversations are too interesting!!!
