Bar Frastuka In Lucca

A great place for anyone who loves fabulous Sicilian food. We had limonata, arancini, focaccia, and a fantastic lemon granita... Yum!

We got some cannoli and a pistachio tart, both of which were very good.

We stopped here twice while on our trip to Lucca. The proprietor is great. He explained about the difference between Sicilian gelato and the rest. It was more like a chunky Italian ice cream not creamy but great. And the pistachio cannoli was fantastic. The shell has nuts and a glaze. My husband said it was like a Butterfinger bar.

We tried the real Sicilian arancini and cannoli with pistachios – the flavors are phenomenal, as if you were in the middle of Palermo. The whole atmosphere is complemented by the beautiful pattern on the plates and cups, which fits perfectly into this artistic environment. ​The service is very friendly, and the comfortable leather armchairs simply tempt you to stay longer. If you are in Lucca and looking for something more original than the classic tourist spots, Bar Frastuka is a must-see.
