Bar du Lac In La thuile

Uninteresting, except for the initial impression of being in Italy. It doesn't feel like Italy, or even France, or anywhere really. It vaguely resembles a dive bar on the side of the road. Too crowded, dirty, and self-service. The food is okay, nothing special. In short, uninteresting.

We went there on a Sunday last week of September and it was good! The place was fool at lunch time so we had to put our names on a list and wait, not a problem we had a coffe and a chocolate, enjoyed the views, walked around and then time was up to go back and have lunch. Food dishes are generous and good. Service is great, very nice guys!

A noteworthy lunch at this bar atop the Petite San Bernardo hill. We arrived at 12:30 and immediately found a table for two. A few minutes later, a long line had already formed waiting for a table. The polenta with melted cheese and the burgers were exceptional in both quality and quantity. The service was quick and friendly. After we finished lunch, it was clear they were waiting for us to leave, but even though someone might want to relax for an extra half hour, I think it's fair to leave our table for those who still have lunch to eat.

It's definitely not worth it: 8 euros for a toast on a plastic table and rushed service are completely undeserved...

Returning from a trip to Lake Verney, it offers excellent dishes that can be enjoyed on the numerous outdoor benches and tables in the summer. Average prices. Friendly, polite staff, and no-frills but fairly quick service.

Beautiful place with a beautiful view. Rustic and welcoming inside, with plenty of seating outside. We had an amazing terrine! Very friendly service, very kind waiters. We'll definitely be back.

Value for money, variety, quality and the staff are great. Well, this is the Italian side of course!

I'm returning to this place after two years and I stand by my excellent review. Everything was excellent: the atmosphere, the food, the prices, the staff. The polenta was delicious, with a variety of variations.
