Bar de l'Ange - L'Atelier del dolce In Courmayeur

20/03/2025: An atmospheric place to relax and have a meal while skiing in the Pila complex. A very well-located restaurant on the blue slope 5. Inside, there is a restaurant room and a smaller ‘bar’ room for quick snacks, but also a large terrace facing south, which as a whole creates a place where everyone should find their favourite corner. Very good/tasty food from a large selection of sandwiches through lunch dishes from the local cuisine to delicious cakes all from Aosta Valley recipes. For the thirsty ones, there is a huge selection of drinks for juniors and the older ones ;o), including several types of local beer (on tap). But, the most valuable thing about this place is the crew. People who are smiling, friendly and open to talking and learning about other cultures, which are represented by skiers from many European countries. We spent a great time there, not only consuming, but having interesting sometimes funny conversations and learning each other's Italian and Polish language. I strongly recommend LA CHATELAINE for anyone who likes good food, atmosphere and interaction with cool people. Hope CU there next time!

04/01/2025: The restaurant is in the middle of the slopes, offering magnificent views of the mountain and valley. Our tables were right on the mountain edge, offering the best scenery experienced at Gressan/Pila. The food quality was mixed. We ordered a Suppa d’Orzo (Barley Soup) which was just amazing. The kids ordered a baguette and pizza which were bland and they didn’t like. The service was also good, considering we went for lunch and this was a busy time of day and year.
