Bar da Monica In Venezia

Such a lovely place… We've been traveling to Venice for over 20 years… and have often been to Giudecca… but this was our first time here… and of course we'd love to come back again ♥️🤗… We were back two days later, a very warm and polite welcome, and the Venetian beer is delicious!!! We come from Bavaria and know what good beer should taste like 👍 Top bar 😀

Last night we had a quick bite to eat at Bar Monica. It's a simple but cozy spot by the water here in Venice. We had spaghetti carbonara, a small portion, but incredibly tasty, just like Grandma used to make it. Highly recommended for those with a small appetite when visiting Giudecca.

Not bad, and perfect for a quick snack

We stopped for a quick break for a cappuccino with biscottinis or panini at the small, quaint bar, which had suitcases as decoration in front of the counter, and warmed up. It was quite busy that morning in November.

I was traveling solo in Venice, and as I was walking past the restaurant, the cheerful owner invited me in (I was actually planning to go to a famous restaurant on the main island, lol), but I was so glad I chose this place! It was the most relaxing experience of my trip. Maybe it was because I arrived around 2pm, which was off lunchtime, but there was no one there when I arrived, and they let me in with the best view! I wanted rice, so I had the seafood risotto, which the owner recommended. The food was delicious, the view was amazing, and the surrounding area was not as noisy as the main island, so I highly recommend it.

The food is absolutely delicious. And the service from the waiters and cooks is outstanding. I highly recommend the paninis, focaccias, and risotto. Let them recommend something! We love them!

An excellent breakfast, a great view, and delicious coffee—everything was wonderful. My stay in Venice has been very pleasant, especially with places like this where every penny is worth it! Delicious food!

What a find! We were looking for another nearby restaurant on a cold December day and this one seemed inviting, it ended up being a favourite of our whole trip. Five star service, rich and delicious food, a warm outdoor protected space right on the water and accessible for wheelchair users including the bathroom. Standouts included the lasagna, pasta e fagiolo and ginseng coffee. We came with four young boys which might scare the most seasoned of places, they managed beautifully. Highly recommend!
