Typical cozy neighbourhood café with beautiful coffee and croissants. A no brainer if you’re waiting for a bus or train as it’s very near the autostazione. Grazie mille!

Al Petes Vino e Cibo in Cittavecchia

27/12/2025: We had Christmas Eve dinner here, and it was a wonderful experience. Al Petes, in Trieste, is a very beautiful and well-kept restaurant. One thing I really appreciated was that, even though I don't eat fish, I found excellent meat choices, with an à la carte menu and truly interesting options. I started with cotechino tortellini in broth, which I thought were out of this world, and then continued with delicious goulash and sweetbreads that were out of this world. The staff was excellent, kind, and attentive. Highly recommended!
