19/11/2025: My wife and I are there on a Wednesday in November and there was over an hour. Fortunately we had made reservations a month earlier and got in immediately. Our host was the epitome of graciousness and class. Due to watching many internet reviews, we know we wanted the cheese-wheel pasta service, be he suggested a nice main course and wonderful desserts. You’ll never have a more unique tiramissu. We plan on turning every time we visit Florence.
18/11/2025: Not sure if “Tourist trap” really define this place. It feels like a place that once could have been great, and there is still some of this greatness left. The food isn’t bad on any count, however it’s pricey and likely not as good as many places around. It definitely does not live to its hype, the place is mainly show and tourists. Everyone eats the truffle pasta which is okay i would say.
In terms of atmosphere it feels like a tourist factory, people queue, get in, get their show, film it for instagram, eat and leave. No real atmosphere, no character, no soul.
This might sound pretty rough, however i m leaving 3 stars as, as i early said, the food isn’t bad.
If you are looking to eat decent pasta for a high price and don’t really care about authenticity, and you really want your instagram video, you ll likely enjoy the place.
If you re looking for authenticity, and great food, u will be left very disappointed.
