27/02/2025: We have been coming for years with the little ones and we have always had a good time. Today in particular the blonde girl who served the tables was very good.
26/02/2025: Forget the classic Italian trattoria menu. No pasta, no first courses, unless by "first courses" you mean a bowl of rice, poke or a mix of vegetables and meat placed on top. Here we grill and take out meat - burgers, ribs, and an all-Italian reinterpretation of the Philly Cheesesteak.
And here comes the interesting part: whoever prepared it has certainly never seen an original Cheesesteak. But it doesn't matter, because what came out is a localized, or rather Italianized, version that works surprisingly well. Without vegetables, without sauces, and with a cheese that doesn't string even under torture - in fact, more like Frico than melting. Yet, the result is still good, dry almost to the limits of drying, but with its own balance. No melted cheese pours, no sandwich soaked in sauces, just meat, cheese and ciabatta bread in a combination waiting to be discovered.
The service is fast and correct, the menu is limited (but honestly, it's better this way: fewer choices, less indecision). If you are looking for an alternative to the usual Trieste cuisine and want a bit of America on the grill, this place does the job.
