Excellent experience in every way... beautiful location in the center of Trieste, very kind and helpful staff, and above all, we ate very well! The meatballs were extremely good and quite large :) Cevapcici with potatoes in tecia were also very good. The fried food was also excellent, and the price was reasonable (€80 for three, all inclusive). I highly recommend it!!

The best meatballs in Trieste: a wide selection of unusual snacks and wines, plus the option of delicious lunches with a chalkboard menu (indoor and outdoor seating). Always crowded, the quality pays off... Fair prices

Food is good - delicious, made fresh, and great selection. The ambient is great - local, triestine, pristine. The staff was friendly, but very busy (the place was packed at lunchtime). However, the portions are small and expensive.

We had a really good and well-made fritto misto. I'm not a fan of the patate in tecia (fried potatoes), but there are several versions (I like it creamier and with a crispier crust). The atmosphere is simple, like an old-fashioned buffet, clean, and doesn't smell of fried food when you leave. The staff is courteous and friendly. We'll be back.

23/01/2026: Definitely 5 stars. The staff were kind, polite, friendly, and never intrusive. The food was truly good. No complaints. I'll be back.
20/01/2026: The most immediately noticeable feature of this quaint Trieste seafood restaurant is undoubtedly the unique atmosphere, evident in the interiors, which I presume have remained unchanged over the last 40-50 years, dominated by a stunning refrigerator. The dishes are opulent and the food is excellent, but when I was there, perhaps they overdid the scampi, so generous in size that they were reminiscent of frozen products. The creamed cod served with croutons and the fried calamari were excellent. The service is always attentive and attentive. The price is reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. Parking in the area is not easy.

12/10/2025: The hotel is conveniently located, practically halfway between Trieste and the nearest Slovenian towns, Izola and Piran. The property features a beautiful, spacious terrace offering stunning sea views and the beautiful sunsets. There's a lovely, large outdoor pool. Inside, there's a spacious breakfast room for a delicious sweet and savory breakfast. The rooms are furnished with slightly vintage but decent furniture, and have comfortable beds. The bathrooms are large, but the showers are a bit limited. The hotel has parking and is located in a very quiet area. The manager, Mirella, is very kind and hospitable. Overall, a highly recommended property.
