The first restaurant we went to when we arrived in Trieste. And we were absolutely not disappointed. The salmon steak was a dream, the breaded calamari and fish were delicious, and the pasta with mussels was a special treat. The service was very attentive and explained the daily menu to us in detail.

Great restaurant with local vibe

A charming spot that’s clearly a local favorite—we were the only non-Italians there. The food was excellent. We ordered five different dishes to share, and each one was cooked to perfection. The quality-to-price ratio was outstanding.

My mother and I happened to come across this restaurant by chance. The restaurant immediately won us over with its casual atmosphere, not too fancy, not too ordinary, just right for enjoying without pressure. I decided on gnocchi with vegetables, my mother on sea bream in a skartoca — and we were both left speechless, except for “Mmm!” and “Oh my, this is delicious!” The food was so good that we came back the next day, which doesn’t happen often. The next day I had lasagna and said, wow, finally good lasagna. The atmosphere is top-notch, the staff is friendly and professional, and the whole experience is a perfect ten. If I ever find myself in Trieste again, I will definitely come back.
