The owner was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. There are also seats on the first floor, but we didn't try them. The lasagna and salmon were perfect!

A combination of tobacconist, bar, and restaurant. They offer excellent Triestine home cooking. My carpaccio of three kinds of fish was divine, and the Triestine-style goulash with polenta slices was just like Mom's. The service is quick and friendly. Fair prices for a prime location. A place tourists can definitely go.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Definitely eat inside to avoid the nearly 99% of people smoking in the outdoor seating areas. Added bonus if you happen to visit during an Italy football/soccer match like we did. :-)

26/01/2026: This is our third time at this restaurant, and it has undoubtedly become our favorite in Trieste. Excellent quality products, cooked with great flavor and respect for the ingredients. A variety of dishes, each one better than the last. Excellent atmosphere and service: we always love the quiet and elegant atmosphere. Although some soft music or jazz would be even better, as it's often too quiet. Excellent value for money!

17/03/2026: The first thing that strikes you is the place and the decor, the courtesy of the staff and the relaxed atmosphere.
15/03/2026: Just one coffee from a wide selection. Beautiful, historic place. I'm still curious to try it. A bonus for the olive oil menu.
