Bar Al Bateo In Venezia

A classic bar with a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and a lovely terrace. We had a delicious plate of spaghetti with clams and another of spaghetti with cuttlefish. They tasted freshly made. The tiramisu was also very good. But what's more, Lucia and Jenny are wonderful, and when we returned that same afternoon with a problem, they were incredibly helpful, always with a smile and very accommodating.

Tables on the fondamenta enjoy the only sliver of sunlight on the entire canal side at lunchtime! Exquisite Venetian cicchetti: fresh and flavorful, served on manageable soft bread. A variety of specialties, including the exquisite creamed cod. Adequate carafe wine. Courteous and prompt service. The vaporetto landing is convenient, just across the street.

I only drank coffee :) and grappa :) so I can't comment on the food ;) Good bar after getting off the vaporetto, either to warm up (grappa) or to cool down, regional wines on tap and draft beer :)

Authentic place with great sandwiches and cicchetti and a very friendly bartender

A bar located at the Giudecca boat stop. Small, but with a few seats available at the counter. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm celiac, and they gave me safe options. The cicheti (polenta-based in my case) are really good. I'd gladly return.

Delicious cicchetti galore, as per tradition, but also tramezzini, panini... You'll probably be eating standing up. Prices aren't displayed... a surprise ending...
