With a bitter taste in my mouth. We returned because last year we had a good time, but after this year we will not return due to the problem of the bill: 2 first courses, 1 cooked starter, 8 raw prawns, water and a €20 bottle of wine. Total: €135. In practice, on the receipt the 8 prawns cost €45! Crazy price, considering the service was ok, certainly not stellar, and considering that we had not been told the weight of the prawns at the table, but we discovered the final price at the checkout. With 45 I'm counting on getting a generous appetizer of raw meat, not 8 prawns.

Going to the Baqqalà Restaurant doesn't just mean enjoying the best dinner you could wish for in the center of Scicli, it means immersing yourself in a unique, carefree and poetic atmosphere, between music, excellent food and pleasant company (starting from the owner, knowledgeable and very nice) , means rediscovering the flavors of the Sicilian land, enriched by the care and refinement of those who know what they are doing and what they want to offer. To paraphrase a small ceramic picture at the entrance: the original and passionate hospitality of Baroque Sicily!

The magic of a small square guarded by the masks of the baroque Benevento palace. Here the owners have created, if not invented, a place that comes alive with two shifts of customers willing to wait to please their palate and sight. Reservation absolutely recommended and preparatory reading of the message at the entrance.

Consigliati dal nostro oste abbiamo deciso di cenare da Baqqala. Un primo a testa e un piccolo starter con baccalà fritto due calici di rose e un dolcino per finire. La cena perfetta dopo un giro nella meravigliosa Scicli. Esperienza eccellente!

Always a very popular restaurant, he is forced to work under stress.
It may therefore happen that the booking is not registered and that the manager struggles to remedy the situation.
Equally it can happen that, despite having taken all the orders correctly, you forget to bring them all.
The dishes are presented well and cooked well, but the portions are really small.

I can only say "if you go to Scicli, spend an evening among the illuminated streets and buildings of breathtaking beauty and stop in this restaurant. A few courses masterfully cooked by a chef attentive to the choice of raw materials". Book early as there are few tables. Wonderful,!

The quality is fantastic and all the dishes we ordered were very tasty, however the portions could be slightly larger to balance the value for money. I would love to come back to try other dishes. The service was kind and attentive.

Essendo in vacanza a Pozzallo, lo scorso 27 giugno ci siamo recati a cenare in questo ristorante a Scicli. Il locale, veramente molto carino, è incastonato fra 2 vie che salgono verso il monte e, visto la serata molto calda, decidiamo di cenare in veranda che risulta essere molto accogliente.
Fatti subito accomodare ci hanno portato il menu.
Abbiamo ordinato come antipasto delle pepite di baccalà e del polpo scottato e, a seguire, degli spaghetti con bottarga e bombette di pesce spada. Dulcis in fundo (… nel vero senso della parola !!!!) abbiamo preso una porzione di cassata.
Tutto rigorosamente condiviso in modo che sia io che mia moglie abbiamo assaggiato ogni piatto.
Ragazzi …. Tutto veramente molto …. Ma molto buono.
Sicuramente da consigliare e soprattutto da ritornarci se siamo in zona.
