Well... I've been here several times and the food has always been top-notch, but, aside from the clientele, it's inconceivable that the waitress would say that half the wines on the menu weren't available, and then, after we'd chosen one, bring us another, open it, and when we realized it wasn't the one we'd ordered, she told us that the other one wasn't available... Not to mention a wrong order and fingers brushing against the food on our plates.
Never again, I'd say. It's a shame because years ago it was a good restaurant.

Two weeks in Italy, and our craving for some spicy food finally kicked in. We chose a nearby spot, hoping to satisfy our taste buds. A quick heads-up: if you plan to go, you absolutely need a reservation; the place is tiny, and seating is very limited.
The server from Rajasthan was great—professional and genuinely friendly, which was a good start. But then the food came. We began with the king prawn starter, priced at €24. To my surprise, it came with no salad or chutney; you had to buy the chutney separately. It felt like buying a burger and then being charged extra for the ketchup. Even more disappointing was the taste—the prawns were mushy, bland, and had a distinct fishy flavor, which made me suspect they were frozen.
Next, my tandoori chicken masala was decent but didn't live up to its name. The chicken was marinated, but there were no signs of it ever seeing the inside of a tandoor. It was a good curry, but not what I ordered. My wife's dal and naan were okay but also lacked the rich, deep flavors we were hoping for.
Overall, the meal was just okay—nothing great. I left feeling let down and with no intention of returning.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever tried…even compared to top spots in LA and around the world! The curries here are rich, flavorful, and absolutely addictive…every bite was pure comfort and perfectly balanced. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was consistently excellent. The rice was fluffy and fresh, the drinks were refreshing, and the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly kind and even accommodated our special request for extra cream on the side. Banaras is a true hidden gem in Milan…serving authentic Indian flavors in the most unexpected place. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine, delicious Indian cuisine!

An Indian restaurant with a higher quality than regular Indian restaurants. The food is undoubtedly very good, with slightly high but not excessive prices. Three stars because, despite the international clientele, it's unjustifiable that the waitress doesn't understand Italian.
